Problem is, Howard and Hayles could be good signings, but will rely on getting good service even more than the strikers we already had.

Worthless signings really until we get wingers in. Obviously we've still got a month to get them, but we do need them asap.

So frustrating to see nearly every game this season, regardless of manager, we manage to play everyone but midfielders in midfield.

But that's because we don't have enough midfielders and the ones we have are mainly crap/injured/lack creativity.
I'd rather have Fryatt on the wing than Newton, for example. Round pegs in round holes doesn't work if the round peg is crap.

need to have better service for howard and hayles if we are going to score it sounds like every tie we try and give howard or hayles the ball we pass it about 10 yards away from them. the ball needs to be to the strikers feet or there chest it's no use having them on if we are going to put the ball down the line making howard run for it because he's not going to beat anyone in a race for the ball.

I understand that sometimes it's necessary, but we had that Ferreira bloke, and the other one who i cant remember the name of, and they never got an opportunity, they may have been shite but surely better that than constantly play people out of position. In one game we actually had no midfielders on the pitch! We may not have many but there must have been at least one somewhere.

Today i cannot understand why we would put someone like Hayes on the bench, then make substitutions and play strikers in his position, what's the point of him being there? He surely is able to play an hour or so and make a nuisance of himself, he's looked alright when I've seen him. We also have Wesolowski on the bench. So Hayes and Weso are on the bench, while our midfield consists of 2 strikers, a defender, and one actual midfielder, that seems stupid to me, if they aren't gonna play in that situation then why are they on the bench.

I can see your point about Hayes on the bench. But as for Ferreira, Hellings, Kaebi etc we need to accept that three managers saw them and realised they were shit. No matter how bad the managers are I am sure they would have done as you suggest if they felt there was any glimmer of talent there.
