Quick recommendation

Its my mam and dads 49th anniversary today and i'm taking them out for a pub lunch. Normally we always go to the same place ( Red lion at Welham ). Without trawling through the many pages of Lazzers guide, can anyone throw in a few suggestions? I dont want a place in the city, it really needs to be a country pub. Reasonable basic food is the only other requirement.

Good food there, and they do special meals at lunch time. There might be a web site for it

It's just off the Melton Road A606. Brooksby is tiny. You turn off and head for Hoby and it's literally 2 minutes down the road. It's in the college grounds.

Castle Farmhouse down the road is OK, they will let your parents in but I am afraid they will serve you sandwiches in the car park. Its a no rif raf policy there

TBF, it looks posh on that website. When you get there, it's not really ought. You get treated like the dog bollocks by the staff though.
