The question of whether Amartey should play CB or CM is simply down to whether Benalouane or Drinkwater is preferred.

Apart from the last 20 mins last night, Drinkwater has been woeful for months now, so I'd put Amartey in midfield.

Amarty at CB with Huth (or maybe Benny), Ndidi and Drinkwater at CM would be my call - but I could be persuaded by a 5 man midfield; Mahrez and Grey wide with one up front, probably Slimani. Drinkwater, Ndidi and Amartey in the middle though, not sure they wouldn't lead to confusion...

I can only assume that the lack of another RB forces us to play Amartey there. It doesn't make sense to me otherwise.

tell Drinkwater to stay in attacking positions with NDidi and Mendy to do the bulk of the defensive work and have Amartey in CB

I would like to see Huth and Amartey given a run as central defenders - or Benny and Huth, as second choice.. I thought Huth was as poor as Morgan against Sevilla but, in the main, I think he could still do a job with a mobile defender along side and a complete change of centre backs, at this stage in the season would be a big risk. Wes, on the other hand, tries hard but hasn't got it. I don't know where last season came from; I thought, when we got promoted, that Wes would need replacing and since then, he's lost even more pace.

The one thing that I wish someone would tell Huth is that it is not always best to pass back to the keeper. The number of times that he does this for Kasper to hoof the ball up for Vardy, or Musa to attempt to win a high ball from a giant centre back is painful.

tell Drinkwater to stop passing to him when he has another option then

Imo, Huth is a stopper pure and simple. He's not mobile and he can't pass. He should only really be given the ball if he has time to play a square ball across the back. Anything else is a risk. He can be someone to aim at in the opponents penalty area too, if we're chasing the game. Under normal circumstances, you let him play to his strengths at central defence - and little more. It's what he does best and generally speaking can be relied upon to do it. You do need a more mobile centre back alongside him though, so for that reason only I'd be replacing Morgan with Amartey. To my mind, an Amartey/Morgan combo wouldn't be as effective. I reckon we need Huth in there.
