painful to watch.

He is a lovely, honest man.

Who was let down.

He's was also a football manager. They tend to get sacked from time to time.

Sure.

Not sure how that makes the video any less painful to watch or that he is a lovely, honest man.

If things carry on as they are doing it'll have been the correct thing to do, 6 wins in 7 games is hellishly good.

Interesting to watch this. Particularly heart warming how enthusiastic he still seems to be about his time here....

They would only need to influence the board . It could have been one of the board ? There is nothing concrete to pin it on shakey.

Very messy. Sounds like the culprit was quite possibly Shakespeare. Did he turn the players against Ranieri intentionally to force Ranieri out? If so that's quite distasteful but equally could very well have been justified. If he really felt Ranieri had been lucky benefitting from somebody else's work and was in the process of taking us backwards, then he might have seen no option but to go behind Ranieri's back for the good of the club.

Then again I find it hard to reconcile the idea that Shakespeare and the old Pearson crew were the sole architects of last season's success given the mind blowing levels of inadequacy they'd demonstrated at times the previous season. I guess we'll soon find out if Shakespeare is the real genius, and at this point I really hope he is.

If Shakey is the culprit then what might be good now is if he came out with a bullish statement that basically admits to getting Ranieri sacked and saying he will prove himself right via his performances as a manager. A display of confidence like that would bring closure.

Hang on a minute that side overturned the biggest points deficit to avoid relegation playing outstanding attacking football, at no stage during the season under Pearson and Shakey were we ever disgraced or heavily beaten. Last season was the direct result of how we ended the previous season, just before NP shock exit I would say the vast majority of fans were predicting a top 10 finish so to say the side was inadequate the season before does not add up I am afraid.

I think the club handled the situation appaullingly you notice that no response has come from Shakey

Of course there isn't, which I suspect was Claudio's intention

Could have been a Board member, Rudkin, Birchenall, Filbert, or (my personal favourite) that complete bastard cousin Dennis

Vicki Vixen has been keeping a low profile recently. Just an observation......................

I doubt it was Birch. They tried to kill him to get rid.

If it was someone removed from the players then how do you explain the apparent contrast in effort levels? To me it seems like Ranieri is saying someone undermined him on football matters and for that to happen it would have had to have been someone who could influence the players. A board member or the likes of Rudkin wouldn't have been able to do that.

2 + 2 = 5,368

It's more like: 1 + x = <6 where x is the culprit, because there is an answer, and the number of possible answers is quite limited. It's easy to say oh it could be anyone let's never discuss it. Easy and also boring.

If only there was a Shakespeare play about a character with blood on their hands, that would really help journalists to tell me what I should think

I have moved on. I love Claudio but he is now part of our fabulous history.
