Leicester City's Reserve side return to Pontin's League action tonight when they travel to West Bromwich Albion (7pm).

Ben Alnwick makes his return for the Foxes after recovering from a thigh injury while England Under-21 international Joe Mattock, Wesh Under-21 midfielder Andy King and Hungarians Gabor Bori and Zsolt Lackso will also feature.

Lathanial Rowe-Turner, Craig King and Ricky Sappleton are also named in the starting line-up ahead of the Academy's final game of the season against Chelsea on Saturday.

Leicester City: Alnwick, J Chambers, Mattock, A King, Worley, Rowe-Turner, Bori, Kishishev, Sappleton, C King, Laczko
Subs: Pentney, Magunda, Beswick, Cox, Garner

Two, possibly three, players who should be in the starting line up at Oakwell IMO

Tragic

Kishishev - what happened to him?

gotcha. but what happened to him - he was a good player at other clubs

Correct, and then he came here and we made him rubbish, just like most of the players that come here :icon_lol:

In fact, one of our proudest moments - we turned him shit instantly, from the first whistle. Once more, top job LCFC!

I think it was possibly quicker than the speed in which we destroyed Martin Keown

3-0 win

Reserves Back On Track
Posted on: Thu 17 Apr 2008

Goals from Ricky Sappleton, Andy King and Zsolt Laczko helped City reserves to a 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Wednesday evening.

The Foxes went into the game on the back of two defeats in the Pontin's Central League.

But a strong second string line up, including the likes of Ben Alnwick, James Chambers, Harry Worley, Joe Mattock, Gabor Bori, Radi Kishishev, Andy King and Zsolt Laczko, put that record to rest with a fine performance away from their home patch.

Young striker Ricky Sappleton gave City the lead in the ninth minute of the contest - converting from the spot after Bori had been brought down in the Baggies penaly area.

Leicester continued to control the game, and their efforts were further rewarded eight minutes from time when King fired home from the edge of the box.

And the Foxes made it three at the death - Laczko tucking away the second penalty of the night following a handball.

Steve Beaglehole said: "We played really well and I am very pleased with the performance from the lads.

"It was an excellent team display - from front to back.

"I have to say that the attitude of the players was fantastic. There was a real desire from them to get something out of the game.

"I'm sure the victory will give everyone at the c lub a boost ahead a run of important first team fixtures."

City: Alnwick, Chambers, Worley, Rowe-Turner, Mattock (Magunda), Bori, Kishishev, A King, Laczko, Sappleton (Cox), C King (Beswick).
Subs not used: Pentney, Garner.
