didnt play, Pentney in goal.

Incidentally, our new manager is obviously too busy on a Monday night to watch his players play

Or maybe he was scouting at another match, but don't let that spoil the opportunity to have another pop at Megson !!

Pinched from another forum. The writer obviously saw a different Kaebi to the one that didn't impress Durham:

Went down Hinckley tonight - easy 3-0 win over West Brom who were featuring a ginormous John Hartson upfront.

A few observations - Ricky Sappleton is a beast. And what 's more I don't reckon he's that far off worhy of consideration for the rough and tumble of the first team. He scored two night - one pen - and probably should have got another three. West Brom's admittedly lightweight defence couldn't handle him at all

- Kaebi should be elevated right now. Fast, skilful, with great timing in the tackle. I can only think they are toughening him up and teaching him English, because in football terms he looked head and shoulders what we've seen at right back this season.

- Djeziri is another very fast and skilful one. He's a bit of a fancy dan though and I fear he wouldn't last long in front of a Walkers's crowd baying "get rid!". Great to see him trying stuff - may need to improve his success rate before trying him at a higher level.

- Billy Mackay -runs around a lot and makes a nuisance of himself - but a bit lightweight for now and guilty of a couple of poor misses.

- Ryan Beswick - scored a good goal, had a couple of good runs, defintely worth keeping an eye on.

- Elvis - taken off after 10 minutes - looked pretty downcast.

- Ashley Chambers - looked good after coming on late - gratifyingly angry with himself for not scoring when he made himslef a great chance.

- Sheehan and Weso - enjoying themselves in the crowd, cheering on their mates - good to see.

I can see why they said what they said about Kaebi as he started very brightly but he hardly featured after the first 10 minutes. Dont get me wrong he didnt do anything wrong at all but he hung back second half especially and didnt get forward at all which was suprising given the ineptitude of the WBA team.

Did Clements play for WBA?

Albion team:

Steele, Hurst, Nardiello, Wallwork, Mason (Pike 75), Labadie, Nicholls, Worrall, Bednar (Alliyu 65), Hartson (Lake-Gaskin 65), S Morrison.
Subs not used: Saied, Knight

So is that a 'no' then Bob?

:)

Just trying to pre-empt the inevitable "Did insert name of WBA fringe player here play for WBA?" post.

The unacceptable face of British Football?

reading the reports on this site and a few others,it sounds like kaebi was hit and miss.some saying he deserves a place against stoke, some say he needs more time to settle in.

also ferreira, according to same reports, was not fit.

my question is even if gm does put them in the team on saturday like a lot of people are crying out for,are they going to make any difference :102:

Well anything is preferable to playing six/seven defenders, which is what I suspect he will play.......

Neither, sadly, does the 'manager'

Hume and Deep Freeze up front is the only sensible option
