Leicester City's reserve side return to Pontin's League action when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Marston's Stadium on Wednesday (7pm).
The Foxes currently lie eighth in the Central Division and will feature a mixture of youth and experience for tonight's clash.

Zsolt Laczko is named in the starting line-up for the home side after appearing as a second-half substitute against Watford on Tuesday evening.

City: Henderson, Cox, Beswick, N'Gotty, Rowe-Turner, Wesolowski, King, Kishishev, Fryatt, King, Laczko
Subs: Pentney, Garner, Burns, Sappleton, Cobb

Anyone going??

I'm gonna go I think, can't be much worse than the first team surely?

Well its currently 2-0 to City, Craig King with one and Andy King with the other. Kish is dominating the midfield, and Hendo's kicks are woeful. His throwing is better than his kicking, at least he can get it to the halfway line when he throws!

whos craig king? is he a trialist or youth team product?

2-1, Henderson gaffe.

3-1 Sappleton with a great strike

4-1 Beswick pen

Good report CF, thanks a lot. So 4-1 final result then?

No worries, 4-1 final score. Was bloody cold!

Laczko was ok, didn't do anything spectacular but did the basics right, didn't see too much of the ball.

Kishishev I thought did well, he got subbed at HT though.

Fatty Fry-up looked a bit lazy and sluggish and should have scored at least one. Such a shame because I still think he is our most technically gifted player in the team. He seemed to play in midfield in the second half. We should have accepted Wolves' 7 figure bid in the summer.

Henderson was shocking. His kicks were terrible, and Wolves goal came from his misplaced pass.

Weso did really well, his awareness was superb. N'Gotty wasn't really troubled by the Wolves strikers.

All in all, quite entertaining. Far more watchable than the dross I watched on Saturday against Plymouth.

good to see a "if you didn't play, you play in the ressies" rule...

Leicester City Res 4-1 Wolverhampton W. Res
Posted on: Thu 14 Feb 2008

Leicester City's reserve side recorded a convincing victory in the Pontin's Central League as they saw off Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Marston's Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Strikes from Craig King, Andy King, Ricky Sappleton and a late penalty from Ryan Beswick were enough to seal all three points.

The Foxes almost took the lead in the forth minute - Lee Cox picked out Matty Fryatt in front of goal but his header was turned around the post by goalkeeper Graham Stack.

Moments later a low cross from Ryan Beswick found Craig King at the far post and the midfielder had time to pick his spot before putting City ahead.

The home side made it two midway through the first half. This time Radostin Kishishev provided the killer ball to Andy King who made no mistake from close range.

Wolves pulled a goal back on the hour when an error by Paul Henderson gifted the ball to Alex Melbourne. The striker's chipped shot dropped into the open goal following a miskick from the Australian goalkeeper.

Substitute Ricky Sappleton marked his return from injury with a goal on 67 minutes. The striker fought his way through a series of challenges before unleashing a fierce strike leaving Stack with little chance.

Sappleton nearly doubled his tally five minutes later, but the Wolves goalkeeper redeemed himself by parrying the shot away to safety.

City completed the rout from the penalty spot in the 85th minute. James Wesolowski was upended by Peter Williams following a darting run into the box and Beswick stepped up to slot the ball low to the goalkeeper's left.

Leicester City's second string return to Pontin's League action on Monday, 18 February when Shrewsbury Town visit the Marston's Stadium.

City: Henderson, Cox, Beswick, N'Gotty, Rowe-Turner, Wesolowski, A King, Kishishev (45 Sappleton), Fryatt, C King (90 Garner), Laczko (64 John)
Unused Subs: Pentney, Cobb
