As close to a Mr. Leicester City as you can get, Bill did just about everything for LCFC over an astonishingly long time. If you remember that old man going round with Birch at the end of season runs until recent years, that was Bill.
He used to frequent my old gym and he was still attending it every day for a swim into his 90s. I had a few really nice chats with him and you could tell that he absolutely loved the club. He told me that he was thrilled to be invited to join the board by Terry Shipman. He considered himself to be a jobbing accountant that got lucky. Lovely man, great servant to the club.
