I thought we were meant to be getting him and carsley at the start of the season. Instead we got makin and gudjonnson. I know which two I would have gone for.

i think it was more of a case of who we could get not who we wanted to get. Carsley didn't come because moyes wanted to keep him, partridge didnt come because we never had any interest in him 8)

I speak to my mate who is a Liverpool season ticket holder every week, and a few weeks ago I can remember him saying that there were a few Championship clubs that were interested in taking Richie Partridge, Zak Whitbread and Darren Pooter on loan from them. These are all quality, young players and I think we should try and snap up at least 1 of these 3 players on loan until the end of the season.
