I suggested the fictional Bertie Masson. We were both correct in our recommendations. Absolutely mad looking back to that thread Jeff's linked when the majority knew we were ****ed with Rodgers in charge but didn't ever realistically expect a change. Still......the club possibly saved some money by not paying him off as early in the season.

I'll admit to being one who didn't want Emery as manager. After his time at Arsenal I didn't think he was cut out for coaching in the Premier League, I was obviously wrong as Villa have improved immensely since he went there.
