When the transfer window re-opens, cos we are fecked with this bunch. I think i'm beginning to see now the obvious reason why MA was sacked.
 
I Don't know that MM has enough money left for what we need.
 
megson i think will get it right, so long as he is prepared to watch and then have the courage to include more new younger players in the first 11 when the opp is there to do so. ie poor play or injury.

dont you belive he's got money still to spend ,yes it mean's off loading a few player but i think we should be ok ,plus we can still get loan players in and with clem out we have a problem in midfeild.

Clem did look ok in training the other day im starting to think his injury could to make a loan singing under the rule to come into play for us

The point i'm making is that a quality manager would see something in a player that he can work with. MON for example taking Muzzy Izzet from Chelsea when he had never had a look-in at first team football. Matt Elliott who had many clubs turn away from him whilst at Oxford because of his lack of pace. He didnt do a bad job for us though. Clubs like Scunny, Colchester, Bristol City have less funds to play with than us, but the respective managers have been shrewd with their signings. The money we have should help, but ultimately we need a manager who can find a few unpolished diamonds. Maybe now people will see with the results we are getting, that MA despite is popularity actually was responsible for bringing a right bag of shite to the club. I'm not enthralled about Megsons appointment but imo he has quickly sussed out the mess he has inherited.

A few - more like 15! Of the new players in, I only rate Fulop, Clemence and N'Gotty. There are possibly others like Kaebi, but I have only seen about 5 minutes of him! £2 million+ for DJ Campbell? That makes him 40x more expensive than de Vries! I am not convinced he is even 2x better!

Was he? I was under the impression that it was MM who was buying all the players. In which case - and if that situation continues - we are in deep do do.

Over the last few years we have had countless young players who have been on the fringe of things, but hardly any seem to progress. They fail with us and then are shipped out to lge 1 & 2 clubs. Its a very disappointing aspect of our club imo that we dont produce hardly any quality players.
Although in the current climate we probaly could not hold on to talented young players, it would be very beneficial for the club to generate large sums of money through such talent. That way we can buy reasonable quality players ourselves and thus raise the club from off the floor again. Its a travesty that Heskey and Piper are the only two young players that have left the club for a large sum of money in probaly the last 10 years.

I dont think there is any evidence to say he was buying all the players. He clearly thought JFH was a certainty to join but MA had other ideas

Hope you are right. Advice is fine but I understood that of the players bought in the vast majority were arranged directly by MM without first consulting the manager. That's what the JFH debacle was all about. MM trying to bring him in and he did fit in with MA's plans for what ever reason.

I hope Megson has the grunt to stand up to MM over this and bring in quality players he can work with and get rid of the rubbish.
 
as i say mm advises his manager but the manager lives or dies by his team performances and ultimatly the results
 
mm will be happy if those playing are showing 100% commitment and desire for the club, to warrant their place in the team.

Then he is too easily pleased. Most of us on here would show 100% commitment and desire, but I doubt if we would form a winning championship team.
