Liz Smith (Nana) was on Paul O'Grady today and I think he summed up how I felt when he said to her that he'd been expecting belly laughs, but ended up all choked up.
I've read on a couple of forums today that other folk were more upset than anything - mainly because they could identify with the situation being portrayed. I thought I'd had a sense of humour bypass, so was relieved to hear I wasn't the only one.

It was quality throughout, although i agree it was a bit sad with nana dying at the end it just shows how good the writing is that they can change quickly from comedy to tragedy
