Inside Futbol have this from last month.

The problem seems to be that if we don’t make a fuss, neither will the media. And even then, The Mercury probably lack the bollocks to print anything and BBC RL the same. It’s too pally pally. Nobody wants to “rock the boat.” We’re too nice.

If we go after King Power, the narrative will be manipulated and we’ll be labelled as unappreciative, “what did Leicester fans expect,” and they’ve got fantastic owners. And in some ways, at this precise moment, they are fantastic but you can see the very clear slide and with a clear turning point - the passing of Vichai. Within 3/4 years we slide.

Go after Rudkin first, see the response from KP and go from there.
I agree. I don’t think it is sensible or **fair** to go after Top.

Rudkin is the problem but is being (probably) given too much of a free reign due to the inexperience of Top as a manager.

Rudkin was here when Aiyawat was in charge but was probably on fairly tight reins from him or Susan Whelan.

We have also quite possibly destroyed our recruitment network or/and allowed managers (beginning at BR) to have too much of a say in who they wanted to bring in.

We should be recruiting to fit a pre-determined style of play that is effective, allows growth and is sustainable.

At the moment we have the worst of all worlds.

We either need someone between Top/Susan Whelan and Rudkin or we replace Rudkin.

**I can see his mistakes and he probably can too but he possibly isn’t experienced enough to do much about it.” KP’s financial and physical support is unwavering and I find it difficult to believe we can find better.**

I’m sorry but you do not have to be experienced to know now to give ludicrous contrqct extensions to bang average players.

No.

I would like to see a rugby union approach to coaching, specific coaches for certain areas I.e. forwards coach etc.
We have moved gradually away from what has brought us so much success, we took risk and we were prepared to go into the lower leagues and abroad to do it.
It is when they don't see you coming that is when you deliver the most as a team. We are unfit and when you are lacking technically you close the gap by being fitter than your opponent!

We must become creative and use every opportunity to be competitive, a club that recruits poorly will ultimately over time, fail and fail by a thousand paper cuts.

For me the malaise started with BR, whether it was Rudkin or BR it should not be too hard to pin point who was accountable.

Managers are held accountable when results aren't going well, as are players when they're underperforming. The boardroom should nit be immune from similar criticism. We have a lot of problems right now and Rudkin is a big part of the biggest problem and that is a poor record in scouting since Brendan Rodgers time and the ludicrous fees and wages we've been paying out well over the odds on for this dubious 'talent'....

Maybe this is the solution to all our problems?

Maybe Rudkin has been too busy booking Top's flights, managing his own diary and making tea to sign players or keep an eye on club finances?

This could be the signing that saves our season!

Also from zero actual knowledge, but Rudkin's time in that role pretty much coincided with Nigel Pearson returning as manager.

We know that Nigel bought in the sports science approach that he'd seen Sam Allardyce use at Newcastle (don't forget one of the most remarkable things about our title win was the lack of injuries we suffered). We know that Steve Walsh built the best scouting set up the club has ever seen and we know that Vichai was willing to back him extensively in building a capable coaching team to get the best out of the squad.

I'd say the successes we've had during his time here are based more on the incredible foundations Pearson built and which have been slowly crumbling ever since (hence our terrible injury record when Rodgers sacked his medical team) and culminating in relegation.
Missed this first time around - but it's worth noting how literally all those parts of the club which were like literally world class have faded away.

Ian Balsom - who led the sports science stuff once did a podcast where he stated that such departments had basically become their own beast which the club ran the operation rather than the manager dictate.

This led to a moment when Ranieri wanted more training after his appointment but they were able to prove that less is more 'periodisation'. However, during the Rodgers period, that all started to crumble along with the analytic departments. The club ****ed it gave too much power to a single person to shape areas he shouldn't have and our DoF wasn't intelligent enough to forsee it all. By not declaring or being public, he clears himself of responsibility.

Excellent post!

From the BBC regarding Wolves' new signing
"Emmanuel's a winner and he's driven," said Wolves sporting director Matt Hobbs.
...
"When Vitor came in it's the first conversation we had, to add one quick. There are so many games in January, so you can't afford to waste a month."

Can we go get Matt Hobbs please. We'll all carry Rudkin to Wolves for a swap.

Surprised this thread isn't top of the list on here. Well, guess it is now. For a bit at least.

I'd love to see the back of him but he's not the problem.

Our club is stuffed full of hangers on and incompetents.

A massive reset is the only way forward from here. But even yesterday, watching a pathetic 7th successive defeat, the protest chants were feeble.

I came home from the game yesterday and found my ticket for Everton had arrived. What on earth was I thinking?

I'm only interested in disruption and protest now. **** RvN and this squad of ****wits. If it means not going any more, so be it. If it means making an atmosphere properly toxic, all the better.

Aiyawatt can't deal with protest like he and his mates do in Bangkok. I'm sure he'll be too busy to come to another game now. Useless twat.

As an example, at halftime yesterday I counted 14 blokes with forks on the pitch all in a row doing what one bloke used to do perfectly well. Seagrave have more than fifty ground keepers. The whole club is ****ing ****ed.

And no doubt another 14 chandlers tending the four candles in the boardroom.
