I think this is in an odd way borne out by him saying he didn't want to return to management with a struggling club but then oddly enough the Everton job became available.

My opinion is that Dyche wouldn't keep us up so it would be a foolish decision.

Anyway, it would never happen.

The players run the club. Many of them would be dead against somebody like Dyche.

In addition, it has been widely reported that Aiyawatt is a devotee of Pepland so he'd not want that sort of manager either.

There are far more things wrong than who the manager is.

RvN is hopeless but he suits the owner and the players very well.

It's apparent (to my eye at least, so praps I'm imagining it) that the players prefer Ruudball (gosh, I like the sound of that) to Cooper's tactics - if they can be described as that. There seems more buy-in, if I can put it like that. Cooper was probably damned by his own pragmaticism, and it was not what they players wanted to hear let alone play. Though I never quite could see what Cooper was trying to do tbh, there was no definitive style as such, it seemed he was forever trying things out in the hope they'd work. That aside...

You can definitely see how the players respond better to Ruudball, and the difference in the frustration when playing under Cooper-wtfisitball. The best we can hope for is, as you suggest, the players on board in a harmonious relationship between manager/coach/players and system....(like, errrm last season).

But, do we have the right players?

The trouble is professional footballers on the whole (and pardon the generalisation) tend to be ****ing thick. And the roles they play under Dyche are a lot more basic. While it maybe horrible to watch, he may have a better chance to get them working it.

Having said all that, I honestly don't know???

Maybe its like at school, when you have a good teacher, and then a supply teacher comes in, who's a bit of a wanker, and everyone takes the piss and forgets everthing they learned. Perhaps he can be like the new, good, Head of Ruudball, who they respect and play for (which, i think, they do) they just need time.

To be honest, it really comes from Top down.

We've built too much of a nice place and family culture with our players from luxury contracts to a luxury place of work everyday with almost the nicest training ground in the country - to make things worse, we keep too many players here for too long that aren't good enough and pay them too much that they never want to leave.

This leaves no headroom for us to expand and keep the players that are actually decent who gradually leave for nothing as we cannot extend their contracts or we refuse to accept a bid as it is a little short of our over inflated valuation and we are left with a load of crap we cannot shift.

We need a complete change of culture at the club as football is a ruthless business.

I don't think Ruud is proving to be a very good appointment but I don't think replacing him will change much either and if anything, it could restrict is even more as we cannot afford to pay off 2 manager in one season when that money is desperately needed for investment in the squad, or it would honestly be better off being used to pay off a contract or 2.

I'd honest start by paying up Danny Ward's contract and not letting him step foot on our training ground again - gone should be the times of contributing **** all to us, if their costs outweigh their benefits then we should move the players on.

He's never going to play another minute for us again so just pay him up now and give us another space in the squad as it would make no difference in PSR terms anyway as paying it all now, or weekly/monthly until the end of the season would be the same total.

Then Rudkin, or whoever signed off contracts/transfers in the summer needs to be publicly flogged at half time of the next home game, and then given their P45.

No more contracts for Vardy either, just remember the good times and let him go get an even bigger payday is US or somewhere whilst he still can.
