Personally I would feel a lot more concerned if there had been any number at all of transfers in before yesterday's announcement of the new manager.

What are you talking about? We've blooded about seven under 18s in the past two seasons. So far, with the exception of Mattock, they've been rubbish.

It's rare for a player to be a first team regular at 16/17 at any club, most players need a few more years to develop.

What's that got to do with anything? It doesn't matter if they're rubbish, if they're 16 or 17 they should play, end of story.

I wonder if we're allowed to field under 12s in the under 18s squad - that way we could be pushing them all through that much sooner and we can look forward to an entire first team squad of 15 year olds in the not too distant future. Wouldn't that be ace!!1!
