Started off OK, but IMO he was too full of himself. I remember one game, think it was home to Cardiff, we were losing 2-1 had a corner in the last few minutes and the lazy fecker walked over to take it. No fecking urgency at all.

I feel sorry for him as the whole situation went Pete Tong on him. As I have said before you do not go from being one of the next big things to come out the Arse to crap in such a short space of time. I am not sure it is him or the Club. :icon_conf :icon_conf

That's why I said in the other thread that it will be interesting to see whether we ever hear from him again.

:icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: Well spotted

Maybe the longer period on loan took away his desire to play well for us. The short term loan meant he had to prove himself, which he did, but once the immenent future was settled he thought that was it and didn't need to do anymore. Shame, he had so much skill. Think it will take him a long time to break through at Arsenal, if he ever doe's now that Walcott is there.

it takes a lot to break through at Arsenal, as others have proved. Wenger just doesn't give as many chances to British players as Ferguson has done in the past. If Smith does break through he will be pretty good.

I'm disappointed that it didn't work, but not that he's gone. He was gone at the end of the season anyway so as long as we stay up, we will have done a better job of preparing for next year without him
