Folk guitarist Bert Jansch dies. Sad day for all us Pentangle fans

A truly fine guitarist was he.

There was a song by a band called 'Mushroom' called 'Hats Off To Jansch' (10 minute long insturmental with Jansch type guitar sections) that I'll have to dig out.

No disrespect like, but they're a bit shite aren't they.

Well, after some of the very varied stuff that you listen to, I thought you would be Ok with them.

Maybe you have to have to be a certain type of person to appreciate their stuff.
 
Bert Jansch was a great solo artist, loved his s/t especially. Never really got into Pentangle though. He was highly influenced by Hinckley's very own folk hero Davey Graham (no idea why there's no recognition of such a hugely influential artist in the town itself).
 
Perhaps the posted video was not the right choice to show Bert at his best. He has played with virtually every iconic folk artist throughout a stunning career. You tube downloaders will be going crazy. His recent performances on his 70's Yamaha FG are true quality.
