Does anybody on here really believe they would come for Micky Adams on his performances over the last 18 months? :?

Quite - postings expressing any thoughts that Micky would be a serious target for Southampton represent a new level of naivety on this forum.

He was the bookies second favorite to get the job! (after Hoddel)

He was hardly mentioned in the broadcasting/ sports press speculation -people in the frame appeared to be Hoddle, Strachan & Houllier.

MA needs results before he will be the target of bigger and so called bigger clubs.

Not entirely true Redditch, MA has been linked with Houllier as the 'Director of Football'. The players in the running for the job in most sports pages i have witnessed today are Hoddle and Adams.

Strachan will get the sweaty job IMO and Hoddle and Lowe don't get on, so I think former fans' favourite Adams will be a favourite to be honest; we've had a bad start to this campaign, but i think you'll find everything else he has achieved here make him an attractive option to 'bigger' clubs like Southampton.

I panicked when I read the above Alex, stopped work, rushed to David Lloyd's to scan this morning's sports pages.

I don't see a big problem - from reports it appears that Etonian Lowe requires that his senior staff have a sleek physique and are flash dressers - Paul Sturrock had to leave because he did not comply.

I think we are safe with the Micky/ Corky dream ticket for the moment.
