I think you have been quite harsh with your scores.

It was by no means a great performance yesterday, but we won and kept another clean sheet.

Heres my evaluation on yesterdays performance:

Henderson 6 - Didn't have a great deal to do, I thought he did well yesterday with catching the ball when crossed in as opposed to punching it away.

Kenton 6 - Had another decent game at right back, his crossing was far from decent though !!

McCarthy 7 - Very good display at the heart of the defence. Wish he would stop getting booked for silly remarks to the ref.

Kisnorbo 8 - Worked well with McCarthy and was rewarded with another goal.

Nils Eric 6 - Was lost for pace at times, got forward more than usual with some daring runs, final ball into the box wasn't great though.

Low 5 - I have to say i'm still not convinced, however i've only seen him twice this season, and it would be unfair for me to slate him now. I think his heart is definatley in it, a few more games and his confidence will grow, and i'm sure he'l turn out to be a good player for many a seasons.

Hughes 5 - Dont think he had a good game at all, seemed somewhat distant from the game, and was his usual involved self.

Johnson 5 - Passing was pretty poor for an experienced player, seemed very afraid to have a pop at goal, when in some good shooting positions. However I do believe he will come good.

Tiatto 4 - I have to say that i'm still bemused how we seemingly begged for him to stay. I think he has very little to offer the team, and is too injury prone for my liking.

Fryatt 5 - Seemed very off today, similar to Hughes. For me didn't run his socks of as usual, but a goal against the baggies in 13 days time will get him back on track.

O'Grady 6 - Did most of the running up front, looked very lively, but some of his touches were pretty poor. Agree with A-Z doesn't look like a 15-20 goal a season striker.

Subs:

Porter 7 - Livened up a pretty drab game, looks like he's got bags of confidence, looks dangerous going forward. Has a very bright future ahead of him IMO

Hume 6 - Would have liked to have seen more than 20 mins of him, should have scored from 8 yards out, I think he'l definately be back in the line up for the next game.

What about Stearman?

I thought he was excellenet for the very short time he had on the pitch.

Right midfield, got forward, beat the full back twice (which Low struggled to do in the whole game) and put 2 decent crosses in.

Everybody was quick to turn on him at the start of the season. Now lets give the lad some credit when it is due.....

When I saw him coming on for Low I thought it was a defensive move, I thought it meant we'd be playing the last few minutes with 5 at the back. So it was a surprise when he played so far forward, and he did it well. Probably got a bollocking from his manager after the match if he wasn't supposed to be doing that...

My sentiments exactly. But why oh why did we make the substitution when defending a set piece. Schoolboy stuff

I thought the same as you Webbo and was impressed with the way he kept getting to the byline in the short period of time he was on the pitch.

I was saying last season that it would have been more sensiable to play Maybury at RB and Steaman at Right Mid. Based on what we saw yesterday that might have been true, but at the very least we can hope it puts Momo another notch down the list.

Id say 8 for COG id say he was MOM, i thought he was really good on sat. We played quite a few long balls to him and he won the ball, he is strong and quick, i think he has potential to do well.
