I did notice on that forum someone said they had been called because there was a lot of activity from their card on the Internet. The last five transactions have all been on the Internet

It's not just the internet. The last two christmases I have had my Barclays debit card stopped in shops and have had to speak to them on the store phone to get it unlocked. Basically if you spend a lot of money on low value luxury type items in a short space of time they flag it, I was buying loads of DVDs, books etc last minute both times.

I'd sooner they do that than let someone run riot with my money TBH.

Last 5 transactions have all been under a fiver too! (well i am a student, what do you expect)

Just phoned natwest and it was all genuine. Phew!

Talking of scammers, It seems Derby have been caught up in the expenses scandal, they've been caught claiming for Silver Polish.
