I think news like this is worth a thread of its own.
Some people don't have time to read every thread and just look at the thread titles to see what they think's worth reading, and may not have noticed it on page seven of the above link.

Can't wait to see old Moley trundling down the wing to 'feed' Benji.

Once again Kov are a laughing stock - thank God we no longer have Adams as manager. If anyone should know how pitifully ineffective Scowcroft is surely it's Adams. Oh well, birds of a feather and all that.

You must be joking.

Cov were looking at relegation until one or two games from the end of last season, what has Adams done since then, signed one the slowest, lethargic, poorest strikers and a keeper from Crewe. Even Miracle Mickey can't polish shit.

Apologies, Jeff, but that's bollocks

I think we had this discussion a couple of months then, and it seemed there were a few people who were shitting themselves, and the majority (including me) who thought we were in no danger. The bookies also thought we were never in serious danger of going down because I think the odds never got lower than something like 33-1, and that's when they were actually taking bets on us.
Maybe you think those kind of odds mean we were in serious danger, but I wouldn't call that serious.

I think the crux of the matter is which group of players would you rather have for next season.

Trying to be objective I'd say we have more quality in our side, it's now a case of gelling as a team, and scoring more goals.

MA got us promoted with a team of Premiership players (and Scowcroft) who couldn't/wouldn't leave. When he was left to his own devices he signed Makin et al. At Kov he's just signed Scowcroft and so the cycle continues.

People only really started to talk about relegation as a possibiliy after we lost to Wigan, with five games left.
On this thread in particular: http://www.talkingballs.co.uk/showthread.php?t=5796

But the reality was that we only needed one point from the last five games to stay up. Those people who thought we could go down were expecting so many bizarre results to happen it was never really likely.
