Season-long competition

OK - simple competition - where do you think that the 24
Championship clubs will finish the season?

Just send a list of the 24 teams in the order that you think they'll finish
the season to: bobwood at ntlworld.com


I'm going on holiday now for a week or three, so you won't get a receipt until I get back. Closing date is Saturday 20th August (just before the 4th league games of the season kick off - plenty of time to see how teams set about the new season before making your decision.

to piggy-back on their competition, you are quite welcome to send me the names of the 24 League One teams in your favoured order)


Scoring?

Yes, there will be scoring but I haven't worked it out yet!!

How about 0 points for exactly correct, then 1 point for one place out, and then the square of the difference after that. So, if Durham says City will be bottom and we finish up being promoted as champs, he will get 24*24 points = 576 points.

Those will be all negative, of course, so I'll then turn the table upside-down and give an index with the top entry getting 100 and the bottom
getting 0 and everybody else somewhere in-between.

Something like that anyway - depending on me skills with Excel !!!
