I wonder if it's the classic marketing ploy of suggesting a highly undesirable outcome (e.g. raised prices; new ground called the Walkers Bowl) so as to reap the rewards when a more acceptable outcome is reached (frozen prices; new ground called the Walkers Stadium).

It IS clever, and having already made up my mind not to renew if prices rose (which I assumed was going to happen even if we went down, judging by Paul Aldridge's emails) I'm now wondering.

I do think that anyone who decides to renew specifically because the prices are frozen should let the club know that.

He should have put the prices up by 1p, then I would not have renewed.........

Me neither.

Have to say I've been feeling rather liberated over recent weeks with the prospect of relegation and/or raised ST prices. Either would have resulted in me getting out on parole after 20 odd years.

Looking like the bars are slowly coming back down as things stand. Going to have to watch the useless feckers once again. Not strong enough to climb the wall without help.

That twitchy voice has started saying "what else would you do on a Saturday afternoon anyway" and "it actually works out at less than £12 a game".

Thanks a lot MM.

I had got my Saturdays all planned out as well, no more stress, no more heart ache and a new hobby to look forward to. Thats dream has been shattered because he froze the prices.

Yeah thanks a lot MM!

I personally see the price freeze as a form of loyalty bonus, though I suppose new ticket holders can take advantage before the 31st.

Whatever the motivation behind it, it is a good gesture

With my Sheff Wed tickets yesterday I got a voucher that gives me 25% (iirc) off all purchases in the shop.

The woman next to me who was buying Stoke tickets asked what the vouchers were for and then started ranting at the ticket office because she'd obviously been given something similar earlier but had been told it was a ST holder's loyalty bonus.

I paid £230 for my under 22's ticket in the Kop last season, they're now down to £207. A 10% discount?!

Too bad i'm now over 22 so my ticket will go up to £322! 40% increase.

Probably won't bother.

go for the under 22 price, and when they say you are too old, give them your birthday but minus 2 years off it. Then insist they have their records wrong and they should ammend it. You are then officially 20 years old. Lower ST cost job done.

You have to provide passport or driving license

Or get a 20 year old to transfer it from you (your brother could do) and then just go down with it, they won't question you as you look like a youth anyway. But of course I wouldn't suggest defrauding our club :icon_wink

I never have with my two sons.

Just pull a massive strop in the ticket office saying this is not right, how the feck could you have my DOB wrong. Believe me it will work

I would, they shaft us enough.

Good call though, we put our minds to it and always come up with an answer

Are you Fraudie in disguise? :icon_lol:

Well done Leicester City Football Club. For once, and for the first time in a long time, you've made me feel a positive emotion towards you :038:
