He's not much of a defender, but he could fill a Willcox/Tiatto shaped hole on the left of midfield- could we afford his wages though?

When we take our set pieces we shouldn't be too creative, a chip to McCarthy aint gonna work wonders. Rather a simple ball with pace aimed at some one who can head, or even just aimed into a group of our players would be more effective. We're trying to score goals, and even if it is just a simple header that lands into the back of the net, then that's fine. Overall, a goal is a goal.

This is exactly the point I was trying to make with the original post. We dont need to do anything to radical, just stop chipping the balls in! Play them in a pace and we are far more likely to score than with the current methods which to be honest are siht.

Theres no need to go searching for a specialist set piece taker like Harte because we dont have the funds to sign him, I think the signings are done now until Jan so its not worth debating.

Williams, Hughes, Wilcox etc are/should be more than capable of being a abit more aggresive when taking set plays but we will just have to see.

If not then give the ball to Maybury hes got a sweet right foot and I reckon he could take a decent corner or two.

What really annoyed me was when we had three corners in a row on Saturday and we kept doing the same thing each time even though it didn't work! I know footballers are supposed to be thick but surely you change it if it doesn't work the first time.

re:Ian Harte:

i remember when we beat them in the penalty shoot out he scored his and did a rude hand gesture to us behind the goal(i was sitting with my little bro in pen4 instead of my normal pen1 spot)

and then when we next went to Elland Road they scored a goal and he came straight over to us away fans and did ANOTHER rude hand gesture.

i don't think he likes us much.....but that's ok..cos i fnukkin hate him!!
