......................the reaction to the substitution of kisnorbo.:icon_cry: and yet ryan smith walked off to applause as he is "not on the list" of players to blindly abuse regardless of performance.with 10 mins left and 2-1 down and in the bottom three we managed to get a corner and smith ambled across to take it as if he had all the time in the world :018: he is a class above the others but his heart is elsewhere. hughes was another to escape the wrath of the crowd his contibution was nil .yes kisnornbo was poor but if your going to abuse your players do it equally and with reason

I dont think it is just Smith who has his heart elsewhere, I think that is one of the main problems with this side, just no passion, drive or being up for the relegation fight that we are now facing, yes the Manager plays a role in motivation and morale etc but unless the players are willing to do some serious soul searching and take a long hard look at their own attitude to what lays ahead, then it aint looking good!

my aplogies jeff but i wanted to express my feeling about smith in particular

100% agree Lazzer, disgraceful IMO. As I have mentioned in another thread, Smith was also at fault for their first goal by giving the ball away. Kisnorbo was one of the few who actually showed a bit of passion and grit, but those blinkered fans will never see that.

If Kisnorbo scored a couple of goals, most of the fans would say it was a fluke or something. Three blokes behind me are constantly going on about him to a point where it gets boring, but wont have a word said against Smith or McCarthy.....pure ignorance of football..

Nothing to say against him IMO. He is the epitomy of everything the others aren't.

I agree but also Maybury was once again in the middle of the park leaving his man unmarked to get in a cross.

Difficult one, as we were on the break and Smith had a really good opportunity to slide the ball through to Williams I think it was (I maybe wrong), I was more concerned that Thomas was allowed to get header in, McCarthy or Nils should have prevented that chance (it reminded me of one the Stoke goals, which again should have been cleared by the central defenders).

It's a scary thing but we have nobody in the side who seems decent in the air. Even when Dublin plays he seems too old now to jump. McCarthy is fine winning the ball on the floor but I don't see him win too many in the air. And any that our players do win, are just aimless. Worrying

Generally, our side is too small and weak for this division.

smith could be an exceptional player for the future but at the end of the day his shirt is red and white. where is the grit and determination ? thats surely something that all scottish manangers instill in their team ?

Someone should have picked their player up, but Maybury was too far away to do it because he'd been on the post defending a corner, he can't be in two places at once.

I have nothing against McCarthy, but he too makes mistakes and being a defender a mistake can sometimes be more costly, but the tossers behind us say nothing. Kisnorbo farts and they are shouting and screaming at him....

Yeah but they stink something rotten man!

When Dublin has played recently as centre half he has been awesome and won nearly everything in the air. He is just no good up front anymore, except maybe for corners/free kicks, if someone could get the ball past the first defender and away from the goalie!

And we are two small and weak and muscled off the ball. If we had a couple of stronger guys they could stop the goalie coming out for the ball at corners.

i too noticed at corners apart from mdv we have no big lads to aim any more ? once we had elliot, prior and gerry bearing down on the defence :icon_cry:
