He may be a twat, but hes also one of the greatest bowlers of all time and part of me is sad to see him go.

I don't think he would have got half his wickets if it weren't for his persona at the crease. Look at the case of Daryl Cullinan for example!

Good to see him go though. If Australia are losing him and McGrath at the same time then they'll struggle.

This is the beginning of the end for this great australian team. Warne, McGrath and Martyn have gone. While Gilchrist, Langer and Hayden will probably step down in the next year or so.

Australia will still be a force because of the strength of their domestic structure but they will be beatable.
