Any one use Sharepoint? Could do with some assistance.

Do you use designer or just the browser duzz?

we use it, it's pretty simple joe, what you stuck on?

I'm trying to create a picture gallery. Each picture has three fields - Country, Office, Gallery Name.

I want to be able to use a view that is grouped three times but it seems Sharepoint only allows two levels of groupings.

I have Sharepoint designer so no doubt if we get under the hood, something can be developed - question is how?

hmmm

sounds like something you'd do in html...

That's a strange task to be attempting with Sharepoint, not what it's designed for at all.

I know nothing but from this definition isn't it exactly what it is meant to do? :102:

From Wikipedia. :icon_conf

Microsoft SharePoint Designer (SPD)

The WYSIWYG HTML editor Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer (SPD) primarily targets the design of SharePoint sites and end-user workflows for WSS sites. It shares its rendering engine with Microsoft Expression Web, its general web designing sibling, and Microsoft's Visual Studio 2008 IDE. SPD represents a next-generation Microsoft replacement for Microsoft FrontPage. SPD requires that IIS has Frontpage extensions installed on the server.

Microsoft SharePoint 2003 used Microsoft FrontPage. FrontPage is not compatible with SharePoint 2007 or MOSS.

Sharepoint sites are collaboration sites. We use it for sharing online documents and for collating feedback for various projects, that sort of thing.

The out of the box picture gallery is pretty poor to be honest. I want all the images to be displayed in a 4 x 4 arrangement but all it offers is a one column option and when you click on an image it loads up a blank window which appears completely uncustomisable. Pretty poor really.

Ok, anyone know how I can do the following?

I have a sharepoint list and one of the fields is a link to a page within the same sharepoint site. However, when I click it, it displays the page details page (see attached) rather than redirecting to the actual page.

How can I get the link to go straight to the page?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

How did you create the link? Is it a page, list, document, folder etc that you're trying to link to.
By the look of the screenshot it is a member of the site that your link is pointing to.

Macky.
It's a page within the same site as the list.
I didn't create the link - I created a column that looks up the pages in the site
