We'd get more money if he plays 5-10 games for them and shows his worth rather than without any proof he is good enough for them.

I was the same last season before O'Grady and Logan went out on loan. :icon_wink

This could be what Sheehan needs, an opportunity to gain some useful experience and matches at a level where he should be able to gain some confidence, but also learn some valuable lessons in a more physical division, will be excellent in his development and could see him return to the club and be able to make a concerted effort to make the left back berth his own.

Also it may be used as a wake up call to Sheehan as well, show him a side of football that he has yet to see or experience yet, life in the lower divisions will be a culture shock compared to the surroundings he is currently used to, and this will hopefully help him to appreciate the opportunities open to him at Leicester and see him return to the club a more rounded player and individual.

Well I thought this kid looked very useful indeed in a big problem area for us, could be over zealous at times but thats youth..................... I was informed that he allegedly was involved in arguements with one or two senior players and they did'nt like his forthright comments to them, and thats why he has'nt been picked

He seems very much a person who thinks he knows all the answers; I would imagine that he feels that he has little to learn. His apparent disdain for supporters is very noticeable as he arrives at the ground; he is likely to breeze past without a word whereas most other players, old and young, will stop for a quick word or to give an autograph.

I might have said the same thing about Chris O'Grady a year ago who presents a very different figure after his dose of reality-therapy at Boston. Perhaps a period at Mansfield will similarly affect Alan Sheehan.
