It was the Player of the Year do that night... and my slapper of a sister tried to ply Gerry with drinks.....she obviously thought she would have no chance with the other players, but she couldn't have known Gerry knew she'd get no chance with him either!

Bike.

What was the match in the cup when we went to extra time and muzzy fired a free kick in to win it? I missed the train home!

It's already been mentioned. Muzzy's goal didn't win it: the match didn't go into extra-time either.

It was the second leg of the League Cup in 2002. Muzzy *equalised* in the last minute of the game. There were then seven minutes of additional time added and Trevor Benjamin scored the winner in the eighth of those seven extra minutes.

You should have let me know that you'd missed your train; I had a spare seat in the car.

From what i remember i am sure Tricky Trev scored the winner in the first half of extra time cause the winner was scored towards the home fans as Muzzy scored towards the away fans end.

You're right. I'm wrong. Sorry.

I know you just want my company as it's great but you wouldn't really have wanted to go home via Leeds would you Boc. :icon_lol:

Where did I mention that I was going to take you where you wanted to go?

I've been to Hillsborough many times and generally have happy memories from there. In particular, the Claridge goal and Cottee scoring from a ridiculous angle (was it 1-0, Boxing Day?) stand out.

And does anybody else remember Mike Whitlow smashing the post in that final? I was right behind it - vivid memories - well done Pontus.

As I've said before, 1-1 will do tomorrow.

3 visits.....

Boxing Day...Cottee scores a goal whilst it rains forever.

Last day.....we lose 4-0 on my b-day and O'Neill's on his chop. I remember everyone looking forward to next season under him on the train.

Recently...a 2-0 win off Alan Sheehan's corners. Err....it was a bit boring bar having half of City's WAGs sat next to me.

I remember this game as it was the first time I had ever saw Leicester win away from home.

last time I was at Hilsboro we drew 0 - 0 in a non inspiring game.
only "highlight" was a downward header from Frank Sinclair in their 6 yard box that bounced over the bar!!!

Thought then that, what was once a pride of the nation type stadium ,with it's FA cup semi finals etc,was more than a bit run down.

£8.80 return from leeds, open return an 'all. Pretty happy with that. It's good that our train ticket system is so well organised^
