City were losing 2-1 when i walked out of the kop. As soon as i got outside the ground........a mighty roar.........feckin 2-2. Bollox, bollox, i couldnt believe i'd missed it.
On reaching the canal on Upperton rd a strange noise which didnt sound like full time. Then someones radio crackles City 2 Arsenal 3, ah well the disappointment of missing our leveller didnt seem quite so bad.
Top of Upperton Rd bridge an incredible roar..........feckin hell 3-3.

I notice that when the game is shown nowadays (generally on ESPN) they miss that bit out!

The only game I've left early was the League Cup match against Leeds where we lost 6-0(or was it 5-0?) Can't remember.

Anyhoo just after they'd scord the last one, my mate rang me to ask if I wanted a lift home as she was there already to pick up her hubby and son. Now I could've said 'nah I'll wait for the glorious fightback'(ahem) which would've meant being stuck in Leicester til 11pm for the bus home, or I would be home before 9.30pm......


I went home.
