I couldnt quite see whether it was a miss or save by the keeper so I looked to the linesmen and then saw him nodding to the ref, and the ref was giving the linesman the thumbs up (the linesman looked as though he was about to cum at this stage), so i guess that's what the ref was applauding for, to the linesman rather than to Oakes.
