I tend to listen to youtube quite a lot. The sound on my computer has gone strange, it's as if it is playing too fast. You can still hear the words being spoken but its 'squeeky' sounding like helium. Not quite as bad as I'm making it sound, but almost.
If you've any ideas, you'll have to let me know in non techie speak... completely non-technical! thanks...

Is it just when listening on youtube? What happens if you play some mp3s or put in a CD? Does it sound the same or is it okay?

I only listen to youtube & my son to kids stuff - ceebeebies mainly. The sound is like I describe for both. have never played mp3s or CD. only vaguely know what an mp3 is!

pop a cd in and check! Most computer problems require a process of elimiation to resolve. A present it could be a sound driver or an issue with a browser plugin. Impossible to until you define if the problem occurs with sound outside of the Internet.
