he is their go to talking head on matters of race in football, his actual football knowledge is pathetic, otherwise he would be on TV or Radio
So the sending off was a matter of race?

they keep him employed for the race talking head thing, he spouts shit as a result, I suspect if Ian Wright or Jermaine Jenas were exclusive to the BBC Garth Crooks would be very quietly let go at the end of his contract

Still going strong without the need to go bust ;-)

Watched the game again last night.
Some of the link up play was sublime.
All the goals from open play were classy (free kick wasn’t bad, either)
At times we had a triangular wall in defence of Wilf, Cags and Jonny, everyone else was hunting for more goals.
We are getting more people in the box when that ball gets delivered, taking the pressure off JV.
Dare I say it, a system that Kelechi could actually play in.
Also noticed that in the horrendous conditions, we were reserved at times in our challenges, so not giving the ref an excuse to “even things up”
A word out for Jamie Carragher, in the first minute, when we had just carved Saints open, he said this could be a long night for Southampton (little did he know ...)

I watched the game again last night, too. It's interesting to see it again sometimes, as you see things you didn't necessarily spot at the time.

One more thing I noticed was that Maddison appeared to be playing a bit deeper than usual. Not sure if that was deliberate, or just him doing that to get involved, but it was noticeable.

The key difference from our perspective was movement.

We have been sadly lacking movement off the ball, as recently as Burnley at home.

Take the result as a bloody good indicator that constant movement off the ball is a good way for us to create more and cause opponents problems.

I've got the game saved in my Sky planner and have re-watched it twice. It'll be there for some time.

We won a Premier League game nine ****ing nil! It's extraordinary.

Judging by his face, the Southampton manager spent most of the game doing a bowel movement.

Let’s enjoy the joint record whilst we can, as Man City will certainly enjoy playing Southampton at home on Saturday.

I do think the goals that they have been scoring make it inevitable they’ll come close to double figures on occasions.

our record is the biggest away win ever in top flight history this saturday will not affect that

If there is one team in the entire world that won't concede 9 or more this weekend it's Southampton

True, but I have a feeling another push at double figures won’t be far away from Man City. Thought they’d do it against Watford.
