Back to the team from the first day of the season but with Mendy in for Silva.

I find it strange to drop Evans after one game, even though he didn't do well. Maybe they've decided he needs a bit more work in training to regain sharpness.

However I'm really surprised by Ricardo at right wing and Amartey back in at RB. Surely we didn't sign Ricardo for that position?

I was calling for Morgan back in for Evans so I’m happy about that. But Amartey back in? Really?

Even more puzzling that Amartey is playing in that case. That's disappointing as I think Ricardo is much more solid at RB and still offered loads going forward. Should have just played him there and then Ghezzal or Albrighton in RM.

Ricardo’s average position vs wolves was higher up the pitch than Albrighton

Can you really argue against the 3 changes?
Piper on the radio thinks it's 3 at the back.
Soon find out :)

While Amartey cocked up in the opening minutes, it was when Ricardo went to RB that we conceded the second goal at Old Trafford.

Yep it looked like Ricardo was the midfielder and Albrighton the RB. It's not a wholly bad idea as Albrighton defends well but I still reckon having Danny Simpson as a solid rb would work best.

Last Saturday we changed things because we were down to 10 men.
It wouldn't surprise me if we change the formation during the game, depending on how it's going.
he'd matched wolves system before Vardy got sent off

not if you want a player that can actually pass the ball it wouldn't

Claude looks like he's playing different teams and tactics to suit each different team we play. I don't see too much wrong with that. Which players he picks for which matches is what concerns me.....

Last Saturdays line up was the strongest we've seen for a while once we actually started putting some effort in off the ball all over the pitch. It's disappointing we've changed from that. I can understand the Evans change, he somehow managed to be even worse than Morgan and even though it was only his first game Puel must feel that it's better to get him to improve in training rather than in a match that means something which is sensible. However the Ricardo change just seems a bit daft for me. If we intend to use Ricardo as more of a RM then clearly we need another RB...
