They are the shittest of the shit, and will definitely finish bottom this season

If we can’t win there, can’t see us winning anywhere

We will absolutely smash ‘em
I wish I shared your optimism.

Head to head

  • Southampton did the Premier League double over Leicester in 2022-23, but lost both Championship meetings with the Foxes last season by an aggregate score of 9-1.
  • Leicester are winless in three Premier League away games against Southampton since their English top-flight record 9-0 win in October 2019 (D2, L1).
Southampton

  • Southampton are in danger of setting a club top-flight record of 21 consecutive matches without a win.
  • Their last Premier League win was 1-0 at home to Leicester in March 2023.
  • Saints have one point after seven matches, their joint-lowest tally at this stage of a season along with 1998-99.
  • Southampton have gone 19 Premier League matches without a clean sheet, the current joint-longest such run in the top flight along with Wolves.
Leicester City
  • The Foxes are one of just three teams, along with Arsenal and Manchester City, to have scored in every Premier League game so far this season - despite the fact that their 58 shots is the fewest of any top-flight side
This selection of stats definitely says to me it's going to be a 1-0 win for Southampton.

It's going to be 2-1.
Or 1-2.

Definitely.

We do have history of opposing managers finally getting the sack after playing, and losing to us. Although we also seem to the team that gives teams a win, or an opposing striker a goal, after a long drought.
I suppose this game will add to the debate "Would Cooper be the better option than EM in the PL". Something that would be impossible to really prove, but people have plenty of opinions on.
So, EM had a 9-1 aggregate against Southampton last year. That's some task for SC to match???
Anyway, just please please please may we win. I would happily take a 0-1!!
