I'd be interested to hear some people's opinions towards yesterday's game, I think a few player got caught out short and found out.
Hendo 6 (3 Great Saves, wayward kicking, goals could have done better)
Stearman 4 (He plays like a 34 year old)
Maybury 6 (Coped with Campbell-Ryce well but he kicked it anywhere)
Maculay 5 (Won everything in the air but struggled with Southend's movement and pace)
Kisnorbo 6 (Won everything in the air but looked shaky)
Hughes 7 (Some dim-witted idiots on Foxestalk persist he was still crap but I found him pretty good. He looked 'up for it', when it was 1-1 it came from his persistence that he had a goal, tackled well, his ball across the pitch to Porter in about the 20 minute was beautiful)
Porter 6 (Looked dangerous when used but was underused, the midfield or defence dont use him as an outlet, just a random whack anywhere)
Johnson 2 (Back to carthorse, lazy ways, marking space, giving the ball away)
Jarrett 1 (Much the same, just worse)
Hume 6 (Apart from his goals, he made some mistakes which put us under pressure and he missed a good chance)
Horsfield 3 (Missed a great chance, then got booked for a 'dive' and it took all the physical side out of his game)
Subs
Hammond 7 (Changed the match slightly because he gave us a different option with his pace. Southend's two centre-halfs had a lack of pace and it was soon uncovered with the 2nd goal)
Yeates 4 (Hughes Mark II)
