Yeh but Hughes wont play the season down the left. I think it worked very well in the stop gap but this guy needs to be playing in the middle to utilise him best and after one game he already looks alot better than Williams!!!

Hughes looked great on Saturday why not leave him on the left and drop Joey for Tiatto.

Because Joey has been playing well and Tiatto hasn't..?

I haven't seen Joey have a good game all season. At best he is OK at worst he gives the ball away and runs round like a headless chicken scaring the life out of row z with his wayward shots.

are describing tiatto or joey there. it pretty much sums up the former rather than the later for me.

Tiatto's out of the Cardiff game - I found myself over-the-moon about that too - and he's our captain....That's not right..

Yup, me as well. I think he's able back up, but we've got better players to start with.

I think Levein will stick with the same team that played on Saturday. Maybe Hume in for Elvis though? Dunno if Hume is match fit yet though.

Fair enough! Danny T is a better tackler though and a for me has consistently performed better than Joey.

I would have agreed before the start of this season dickov.

There are some players that are liked by all the fans and there are some players that no one likes but there are some that split the opinions of the fans in two.

Joey and Tiatto are two such examples

I will be aboslutely furious if we sell Hughes.....That will really paint a bleak picture for our club.

Reality = we are a selling club I'm afraid. If someone comes in for him in January with a decent bid, the club can't afford to turn it down. Simple as that.

This is not exactly news - it's been the situation for several years now. It's a bleak picture all right :icon_cry:, but it's probably time we got over it to be honest...... the debt and the hangover from administration will not go away, no matter how much we pretend it's not there (and there are plenty on here who do that routinely). There's not much point in getting upset about it.

But let's look on the bright side - we have one or two players now that other teams might actually want. Surely it's better to have good players and have to let them go, on our terms, than not to have any decent players at all.

COME ON!!! :038: :038: :038:

I agree about tiatto, if we keep winning without him Craig may be forced to choose a new first team captian.

As for selling we would probably sell hughes for a 7 figure sum, but remember the more high price sales we get the quicker we get out of debt, sheff utd have been doing it for years and have eventually got into a position where they strong financially and in league standings.

There has to be a balance though doesn't there? Hughes and Connolly leaving would be unfortunate this year. I hope no one's clocked Hughes yet - then again, they clocked Piper well early!
