Well, he was been the best manager a second tier team could get in my lifetime. I always wanted him to manage us one day.

Always comes across as a really nice, genuine bloke, surprised about leaving them on the lurch like this. Didn't he do the same with ManCity? If his heart's not in it, he's done the right thing, I suppose.

Fairly predictable though. I always thought he was over-rated to be honest. Plenty of other managers have got a few teams promoted without the same fanfare.
