Re: Nfl

Used to enjoy watching him play. A real tough cookie.

(I'm not stalking you by the way :icon_lol:)

(smilie obviously directed to the stalking joke and not the untimely death of Mr McNair)

Can I remind people not to bring back long dead threads when they want to post something new, but to start a new thread instead.

Resurrecting old threads means many people have to read a lot of irrelevant out of date stuff before finding the current posts.

This was posted in a thread that 'died' 5 months ago, and anyone who hadn't previously read it would have had to read 50+ posts about the last NFL season before getting to something new.

Sorry :icon_redf, have seen other people told off for starting new threads when others already exist so thought I was being good

I'll go and sit in the corner for 10 minutes

It depends on the context. If a current thread already exists (IE one that's been posted to in the last week or so), use that. If the existing thread is old and full of out of date stuff, start a new one.

But for news such as a player dying, it would be appropriate to start a new thread anyway.
