I'd give Vestergaard a new contract, too, so long as management thinks he can cut it in this team with this style of play under this boss. If he's not deemed good enough for the Prem, I see no evidence as to why Faes would be, or Coady, or Doyle, etc. In which case, we need a whole new defence. He's been our best defender this season.
Unless you're a simpleton, it just makes total sense (if he doesn't demand daft terms). Watching Nelson now, he's absolutely nowhere near good as Vestergaard. He could be much better, with experience and time but Vestergaard has been instrumental in our success so far this season and I'm sure Maresca will want to keep him.

BN will be along to tell you how he's finished and you're a loony in a sec.
I know, expecting it.

If he was our only striker this season, and barring the injury he's had, he'd have banged in way more than he has. 7 goals in 20 appearances and how many starts?

I'm pretty sure he's got the lowest minutes per goal or perhaps second to Daka. If he was on the pitch more, he would've taken the penalties as well. He's still a top striker who has improved his positioning and his non-goal play.

This doesn't even take into account his value when training alongside the likes of Cannon, Daka and any new striker we sign.

Was at fault fir the late goal the other day but I think he's been impressive today since he came on...
I hope he improves and becomes an excellent player, but he's still young and learning.

Vestergaard, at least at this level and under this boss, has been excellent. He's a bit of a conductor from the back and surely EM sees his value.
