Feel a bit sorry for Knudsen. Got messed about (visa etc), in a hiding to nothing role and then caught in the crossfire maybe. But then, I've no idea in truth. Maybe he was shit and on borrowed time.

I mean, our set pieces definitely improved after he arrived.

But I don't think it's common place for teams to have a set piece coach, so his is probably a bit of cost cutting. But also maybe wasn't deemed necessary if Maresca feels he and his staff (who presumably will be announced over the weekend now) can do it themselves.

Team return to training on Monday, so time to meet the coaches then.

Knudsen did a good job for what he was bought in to do, which ultimately was to try and cover up one of Brendan Rodgers' weaknesses. If we'd bought in an attacking coach, general defending coach and midfieldering coach as well, maybe Brendan would still be in a job...

Good Ridance to all of them. Their job was to coach.Name one player in that squad that has shown signs of high levels of fitness or performance improvement. Dont let the door hit you on the arse on the way out.

So one of our greatest ever keepers thinks he was a decent coach. He can't have read the real story on here.

I'm glad he is gone, he represents all that has been wrong of late but he must've been decent enough at times.

Well, it's taken nearly 20 years but finally it looks as if we've employed a manager that Stowell doesn't have blackmail material on. I guess it was bound to happen eventually as the generations passed but it's still a bit of a shock.

I mean, I always assumed that an alien invasion, elvis being ressurected & eventually armageddon would all happen before we got shot of Stowell.

Maybe his coaching is what made Danny Ward the goalkeeper he was. Maybe now we’ll have a new Banks or Shilton (in their prime) in the form of our Welsh No.1.
