I remain hopeful that given time Mr Stringer as a fan will be better than Barber but the initial reaction isn't a good one. At least, I thought, he will sound more excited by Leicester goals than goals scored against us.

Stringer's lack of knowledge has been palpable and Nigel Pearson gave him - deservedly I may add - very short shrift on the Radio Leicester interview today. Pointing the obvious out about Mattock and Clemence's absence from the squad's to date.

Five minutes research could have told Stringer what the situation was. Not impressed.

Just don't call him a loser, he doesn't like that word.

Personally I didn't mind John Barber.

Stringer hasn't impressed me at all yet. Fancy asking NP why Kisnorbo was absent from the Hinckley match!!

I think he's already showing signs of Partrigesque brilliance. He makes Matt Jones look positively dull.

My favourite from Saturday was, "I'm running out of ink in my pencil".

As long as they don't bring back Piper again...

I'd rather listen to cows getting slaughtered than that boring sod.

Spot on BN..couldn't believe the rant about the 'unmistakeable smell of football'.."hamburgers, onions and liniment on cold days"...Partridge meets Ron Manager?

Apparently 'losing' and 'synonyms' are not words in his dictionary.
So considering City have become synonymous with losing, we're perhaps not the ideal team for him to be commentating on.
