Stuart Taylor. Goalkeeper

He was shit the first time he was here. Couldn't kick a ball to save him life.

Round, like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel.
Never ending or beginning,
On an ever spinning wheel

Or his loan ran out...

Stuart Taylor, GK (Leicester City, 2004/2005):

G 10 (W5, D3, L2)
Conceded 7 goals
Kept 4 clean sheets

Nowadays, a 50% win ratio is dreamland. And a clean sheet even more so.

That doesn't necessarily say anything about his goalkeeping skills though. He had probably the worst distribution of any City keeper I've seen in my time.

That was six years ago, I take it he's gotten a little bit better on that side.
Besides, goalkeepers reach their best age later on, anyway.
So, Taylor's just about to hit it.

And he can't be worse than Logan. Ikeme is so-so.

But in all honesty, six years ago we had one of the best defensive records in the league. And a goalkeeper is only as good as the back four in front of him.

He earned us a point at Wigan. But mostly he was bob.

Yeah I went to that game and remember it well as it was my first game after being hospitalised during October and start of November 2004.
We could have won it as well if Lee Morris (yes he actually played) had scored when he had a chance 2nd half

Not sure I want Taylor back - did he not react badly when City fans took the piss when he last played against us

He's very average - but probably better than Weale

He was spotted at the training ground a few days ago.

Hardly our most pressing position currently.

This looks like Logan's going to be dropped to the under 9's league, if Taylor comes

I take your point. His kicking was appalling.

But - Henderson surely has to rival him for awful distribution?

Pressman was poor too - could kick a long way but just struggled for direction.

Hendo was a decent keeper IMO, apart from his kicking he was quite good.
