Gigs Summer Festivals

Anyone going to any?

I was thinking about Glastonbury, Reading and even Roskilde in Denmark. But I'm not going to any of these, now instead I'm off to Benicassim (sp), near Valencia in Spain. 3 bands, admittedly not my cup of tea, have been announced so far (Babyshambles, The Rumble Strips, My Bloody Valentine), but the last few years have seen some bloody good acts, and for 9 nights camping for £130, I'd be a fool not to go!

I will also be going to Summer Sundae as well (woo)

You've ruled out three festivals, of whom you have no idea who is playing, to go to one festival where the only 3 announced acts are ones you don't like.

Is it just me that doesn't see the logic?

But to answer your question, I don't know, I'll wait to see who's playing.

The Spanish festival is £130 and that comes with 9 nights camping in a bloody hot place, compared to £150 for only 4 nights in Glasto where its bound to piss it down all the time. Plus I've never been abroad for a proper holiday before, and 10 days in the sun sounds great if you ask me.

Horrible things,standing in the pissing rain having to sit through loads odf shite bands in order to see two or three bands you like play 40 minute sets over a piss poor sound system.Then back to your tent to find some feckers nicked all your gear but don't worry to finish the day you have the pinnacle of the day..you can go for a shit in a ditch after suffering food poison from the delicious food outlets

Does anyone know about any of these at all? Listened to a bit of American Music Club and they sound pretty decent.

Don't bother taking a tent MHS, it's just extra weight for you to carry and you will not be able to sleep in it as it will be far too hot!

Just sleep on the beach!!

Am thinking I may go there myself but also considering Exit festival in Croatia.

Oh and by the way, Glasto is the tits even when it pisses it down all the time! That's half the fun of Glasto!!

If anyone is interested.....Jay-Z, Kings of Leon and The Verve have been announced as headliners at Glastonbury this year. Jay-Z can feck off, the other 2 bands are amazing.

Neil Diamond, Leonard Cohen, British Sea Power, The Courteeners are a few other acts announced.
