The Walkers Stadium Sunday Market has been put on hold during the winter months.

The market, which was launched in October, has proved to be a big hit with about 35,000 people attending since the doors opened.

However, the market will now start trading again on Sunday, February 25, 2007.

A club spokesman, said: "The Sunday market has been a great success.

"However, working in partnership with the City Council, we always envisaged that the market would be closed during the winter months due to December, January and the early part of February notoriously being regarded as poor trading months.

"We are looking forward to the market reopening."

I think there could be some fixture congestion towards the end of the season if they're postponing every Sunday market for a couple of months. They'll have to start holding them midweek to catch up.
