Well I just didnt know where to look.........seeing Oakley on the pitch for the first time in months, drooling over Morrison or noticing every time Sousa put his hands in his pockets and how it made his bum look very lush in those trousers he had on.

I'm going to be soooo spoilt next season!:icon_lol:(And yes, I got my obligatory Oakley arse shot!)

:icon_lol: There's nothing like a good match analysis is there?

Oh sorry!

I thought that with we looked a lot better in midfield with Oakley playing in front of the back four and King doing the more attacking role.

Hobbs as usual looked very assured, Dudley looked eager and wanted to be invovled in everything.

My only real concern from what I saw yesterday and what I've been told by folks who went the other pre-season games is Weale.

Since that sheep match he has looks out-of-sorts and imo hasn't shown the confidence he was showing before, that seems to have carried on into this pre-season which is a bit of a worry.

Well, as soon as Weale makes ANY sort of mistake, we should all come down on him like a tonne of bricks. It'll make him a better player for it.

Nobody's said that. There is some concern over a couple of errors, which is understandable; goalkeeping errors tend to lead directly to goals. I'm confident he'll be as good this season as he was last. I'd rather have him than Ben Alnwick, Rab C Douglas, Kevin Pressman...

You done goofed. Don't ever use the words of the Lawro.
Consequences... will never... be... the same!

Will using it break the internets? Epic goof.

Oh yeh Lee Cattlemole is a carthorse too, the referee was far too passive and Parkes is ok defensively but can't pass.

Harsh to judge Parkes on how long he played yesterday surely.....obviously if you have seen him play before then apologies.

Seen him play a few times. The 'can't pass' assessment seems fair, but he's only a young lad. Loads of time to improve. Besides, he's better at it than that racist bloke that plays for Preston.

Watched him last year at Burton, just wondered whether under Sousa and more experience with Albion whether he'd improved his passing. Sadly not, however I wouldn't write him off.

Sousa has been here a month, I don't think it's fair to say he should have improved his passing in that time.

Sousa's style may suit him, i.e. rather than having to 'hoof' the ball down the channels and put it into the stands he can look for a short pass to our midfield 'play maker', an overlapping full back or his Center back partner. Shorter passes, which he may be able to make, although we may not want him trying to play the ball out of defence:icon_eek:.

A question for anybody that went to the match.
Our kick offs, did we pump it down the left wing both times?

Grateful for NP for last 2 seasons, but that is 1 thing of his game plan that used to peeve me off. Just hoof it down the left wing, if Howard gets it brill, if not, we're in the last 1/4!

Can't remember. Its one of my pet hates in Football full stop. We don't do it on a Sunday morning.

Weale mostly tried to roll the ball out, often to Berner or Hobbs.

Long kicks tended to be down the left wing either to or past Dyer who would race past the left back or force him to concede the throw-in.

I heard about him. Ironic last name, or something like that.
