Well done George!
I feel we don't hear as much about the academy any more, and it's a shame. There used to be a lot more talk about the academy players on here, and I knew who was in the side and doing well (kinda) from various people's comments.... shame we don't have that anymore!
Any good players coming through at the moment? Other than Schlupp of course!
Leicester City Academy star, George Taft has been selected in the England Under 19 squad for next month's friendly with Germany.
England's youngsters will be taking on their German counterparts at Chesterfield Football Club's B2Net stadium on Tuesday February 8th.
Taft made his debut for England Under 18's in November last year when he managed to score in the Three Lions' 3-0 victory over Poland, and has again been called up by coach Noel Blake, this time to represent the Under 19's.
A regular in the Academy side, the 17-year-old defender has also proved himself at reserve team level for the Foxes this season.
George has been named alongside the likes of promising Chelsea midfielder, Josh McEachran, Liverpool's Jonjo Shelvey, and hot attacking prospects, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Connor Wickham.
