Tapatalk, the mobile application for forums, is now available for more phones.

The iphone version has been available for a while, but there are now versions for Android and Nokia (Symbian) phones.

You can get it from http://www.tapatalk.com/en/mobile

I've tried the Symbian version and in my opinion it's not as good as using the site with a decent web browser (I have opera mobile on my phone), so I probably won't use it much.

Tapatalk is pretty much the only way I view this forum now. So easy to use.

Just find it easier to use on my phone.

I find Safari very fiddly, in what way would you say it is not easier?

I've not used the iphone version, but the Symbian version doesn't have the ability to look at all unread posts, (The new posts link at the top of each page), which I use all the time.

If I want to go to an individual forum it can take three times as much clicking and loading of pages as it does on the web version.

I can't find any way to access the user control panel.

I've not tried posting from it yet, it's just too fiddly to use.

I'll tell you what is annoying, everytime I view a page in Opera Mini on my android phone I get the "This site is mobile ready" or whatever the tapatalk message is (I don't have tapatalk installed) and I have to click cancel everytime I load a page.

I didn't realise it did that.

It's not doing it when I use Opera Mobile (Much better than Opera mini, if it's available for your phone - of not I recommend Skyfire), but it does do it when I use the phone's built in browser.

I'll have a look at the tapatalk script and see if I can stop it from doing it.

It looks like it's setting a cookie so it only does the pop-up think once every 60 days. Have you got cookies enabled?

I get the message occasionally on my iphone using safari. It seems to be when I need to log in after if I have cleared history etc.

I'll need to check. I use a task killer (I'm on Android) so it might be a case then when I kill tasks it kills the session or cookie, which results in it happening.

I do like Skyfire, I also like Dolphin browser, but the homescreen "speed dial" effect on Opera Mini (Or maybe I'm using mobile?) is what I mainly use it for.

Though I don't like the fact it doesn't support JS.
