Becuase he can no longer kick or tackle. All his clearances have been of the Kenny Sanaom preportion (i.e. the backpass against Argentina ((Hand of God)) miles in the air, sliced and back as opposed to forward. He looks slow and has for the last year been falsely hailed as our new messiah.

Having said that, I still wouldn't drop him :icon_lol:

I've just sat down with the squad list and the freedom to come up with a formation of my choosing and I can't come up with any team/formation that would encourage me in the slightest for Satdi.

I think you've got to forget wingers cos we simply don't have them. I know absence makes the heart grow fonder and all, but calls for the likes of Sylla and De Vries is worse than desperate. The only formation I can see having any chance of creating chances is 4-3-3. But that would expose our pathetic excuses for full backs.

Maybe it's the stench in the air at the moment around the club but I genuinely can't see us beating any other half decent team. We can't score or defend. Maybe we should all club together and put every penny we have on Ipswich to win. Then gives the proceeds to the club?

Seems the best of a bad job. Glad you would include MDV.

I am not entirely pessimistic about the game.

To start off with we are not going to lose every home game this season. Secondly, we will be better off if the opposition decides to go for it. Burnley sort of held their own for a while realised they were stronger - including physically stronger - then pushed forward a bit. Finally, they realised that they could afford to fall back and absorb what little pressure we could mount.

Ipswich may decide to hit us from the start and thereby present some welcome opportunities for us to counter. So we do need to play some authentic (if shoddy) flank men.

Its hard for me to choose between Kenton, Johansson & Mcauley to partner Paddy Mac in the defence. I didnt like Kenton out wide on Tuesday but he is a good centre half. Johanssoni believe is also a good partner for the skipper & Mcauley I have never seen before.
I also want to know why people are not listing McCarthy in their starting line up, if he is our best centre back & captain?

I didnt like Kenton out wide on Tuesday but he is a good centre half.

I thought he looked half decent out on the left, I would say he is better in that position than Sheehan, Nils or Maybury. Not ideal but the best we have got IMO.
