I thought he looked half decent out on the left, I would say he is better in that position than Sheehan, Nils or Maybury. Not ideal but the best we have got IMO.

Prefer Johansson tbh.

I didnt select Kisnorbo as he kept mis hitting passes, giving away the ball, & im just not a fan of him. I think Maybury & Johansson play on the left better than Kenton. So because i'm a fan of Maybury i would play him there.

3 left back on the bench??? As for not dropping McCarthy just because he is captain is ridiculous. We don't want to fall into the same trap as the England cricket team. If he isn't performing then having the captain's armband is not a reason not to drop him. Let's give McAuley a go and see if he can clear a corner or a free kick...

I think he is playing well there & after 2 games you cant drop him as i believe he is our best centre back. Tiatto i see as a Left mid, & he wont be on the bench when Weso is fit. Johansson i also see more as a centre back.

He is our captain for a reason and I think it's just as ridiculous to drop him and play a player who is completely untried. We need stability. When McCarthy and Kismybum played a few last year they became a very good defensive unit indeed.

I think we need to reshuffle the midfield- i cannot believe this but i am even going as far as putting Sylla in the team.

O'Grady and Elvis scored goals in pre-season, they have pace and are both good in the air (so will have more luck when we play the silly long balls)

I thought Kalac's height could be a factor against Ipswich but Poole's joviant type of catching made him a starter. Claridge regularess of his scoring record is a tad hollowful around the assist area, Fenton's branch of crossing is more akin to Russell's height.
